2010 Tournament Rules
ELIGIBILITY
1. All players
must be USSF registered.
2. All players must be
at least 16 years old by April 24th, 2010.
3. Players participating
in Over 30 and Over 40 divisions must be at least 30 and 40 years old, respectively,
by December 31, 2010..
5. All players under 18
must have a parent’s or legal guardian’s signature on the waiver form.
EQUIPMENT
1. Shinguards are MANDATORY.
2. All members of a team
must wear numbered jerseys of their team’s colors.
3. Each team will supply
an alternative jersey in case of color conflicts.
1. Teams will be limited
to 12 players.
2. No roster
changes may be made after the start of a team’s first scheduled match.
3. At least 4 players,
including the goalkeeper, must be on the field at all times.
CO-REC
1. At least two women
must be on the field at all times, excluding the goalkeeper.
2. A player is a
player. Free kicks, penalty kicks and throws may be taken by any player.
3. No slide tackling
will be permitted.
DISCIPLINARY ACTION
1. Players sent off (red
cards) during final games will not play in the finals of any other division.
2. Players sent off
during any other matches may not be eligible to participate in another
division’s play, at the discretion of the Tournament Rules Committee.
TOURNAMENT
1. Ties will stand
during round-robin play.
2. Ties in single
elimination rounds will be broken by shoot-out.
3. Each team will play
at least 4 games.
4. Each game is 6-a-side
on reduced fields.
5. Each game will
consist of two 15-minute halves.
6. Substitutions may be
made on dead balls (out of bounds) or at the referee’s discretion.
7. FIFA rules apply at
all times, except there will be no off-sides.
8. Penalty kicks during round robin will be turkey
shoots taken from midfield. The ball must cross the goal line within 5
seconds of the shooter’s first touch. (The ball remains in play for the
full 5 seconds if the ball touches the goalkeeper or the goal post and remains
on the field.)
ADVANCEMENT
1. All teams move to
single elimination play on Sunday.
2. Divisions with more
than 8 entries will be split into multiple single elimination brackets based
upon Saturday’s group play.
3. Team placement
is:

2. During single
elimination, turkey-shoot:
